FAQ
How do you pronounce HOHN?
HOHN is a derivative of the word ‘hone’ (to perfect over time). It is therefore pronounced Ho-n. But you can pronounce it Hohn like ‘John’ if you prefer.
Where are your materials from?
Not an easy question to answer, in short, everywhere! But, whereever possible they are locally sourced. For example, much of the work created in Batch 1 is from felled trees from Norfolk that have died naturally. Other materials may be from elsewhere but woods are always FSC certified and bought ethically. This is genuinely important to us, not just something we say for marketing purposes.
Do you take commissions?
Absolutely. Commissions sometimes allow us to explore new territories or take new approaches which is exciting for us. We are always keen to hear what our customers want and commissioning work helps guide our process and ensure our wonderful customers get exactly what they want. Please contact ed@hohnstore.com for commission enquiries.
